Hallelujah I Adore It

The light was SO perfect today, I had to break out my tripod.
I'm not much of a model, so bear with me.
I just looked out my window and saw how perfect the sunset was, grabbed my camera and ran outside.

Just open up and sing

Marina.
The Family Jewels is one of my all time favorite albums.
Marina and the Diamonds.
Her sound is so poppy, so catchy, yet there is a strange quality to her music.
I love it.

Though the release date of her next CD, Electra Heart, is sort of hazy, I feel the need to share this track from the album.
Because it's brilliant.
And you should hear it.

TEASE.

I took these (digitally) of my sister while working on a black and white film project themed around hair.
With some teasing and a ton of fluffing, we managed to defy at least a little bit of gravity.

We Are Young

But we're young, open flowers in the windy fields of this war torn world

Summer Skin

Squeaky swings and tall grass
The longest shadows ever cast
The water's warm and children swim
And we frolicked about in our summer skin.

I don't recall a single care
Just greenery and humid air
The Labor Day came and went
And we shed what was left of our summer skin

TwentyTwelve

It's a bit stressful.
2012 is gonna be a big one.
I have SAT's, APs, college visits and college apps to look forward to.
But at the same time, mixed in with all this anxiety, is a whole lot of excitement.
This is the year where I decide where I want my life to go.
And though things may seem out of my hands, this is the first year where I really start having control over my life.
Scary, yeah, but so exciting!

My resolutions:
Get more active, get more organized, take more pictures, make more friends, sleep more, ski more, help more, laugh more.

The holidays are over, the most wonderful time of the year.
Happy New Year, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, whatever and whoever you are, make 2012 the best one yet!
Thanks to everyone who made my (way too short) break/holiday season a gift.
Family, friends, everybody!

And, unless the apocalypse comes crashing down on us, I can't wait to do it all again next year!
